HeyDenta vs Odonto: booking app or AI receptionist for a Philippine dental clinic?
Odonto is a booking app made for Philippine dentists. The clinic shares a booking link, patients request a slot, the dentist approves it in one tap, and Odonto sends SMS reminders. HeyDenta answers the patient who is still asking questions on Messenger at 9 PM, then books them. They solve different parts of the same problem, and this page shows where each one fits.
Odonto fits a clinic whose patients already know what they want and only need a link to pick a time, with SMS reminders at a low monthly price. HeyDenta fits a clinic whose patients message first, asking about prices, schedules or a tooth that hurts, and need an answer in Taglish before they book.
- Odonto channels: a shareable booking link and booking website. Replying to Messenger is not mentioned.
- Odonto languages: not stated; the site and app listing are in English.
- Odonto price: ₱399 a month for 1 to 2 dentists, ₱1,299 for 3 to 6, ₱1,799 for 7 or more.
- AI answering: not mentioned on any Odonto page we checked.
The short answer
Odonto turns booking into a link. A patient opens it, picks from the clinic's available schedule and sends a request. The dentist gets a notification and approves or declines in one tap. Odonto then sends automated SMS reminders before the visit and shows weekly analytics. It runs as an app with a booking website included, from ₱399 a month.
What Odonto does not do is answer a patient. Nothing on its site or app listing mentions replying on Facebook Messenger, answering a price question, or handling a patient who writes that a tooth hurts. Those messages still wait for someone at the front desk. HeyDenta's Aria answers them in English, Tagalog or Taglish, passes anything urgent to the staff, and books the slot on HeyDenta's own calendar, with patient records and reminders included.

Where each one fits
Neither tool wins every clinic. The fit depends on where the clinic is, where its patients talk, and what system sits underneath.
Odonto fits better when
- Your patients already know what they want and only need a link to choose a time.
- Your main problem is no-shows and you want SMS reminders at the lowest monthly price.
- You or your staff will keep answering Messenger questions yourselves.
- You run 7 or more dentists and want a simple booking app at a fixed monthly price.
HeyDenta fits better when
- Your patients message your Facebook Page first, asking about prices, schedules or a tooth that hurts.
- Messages arrive at night and on weekends when no one is at the front desk.
- You want replies in Tagalog or Taglish, the way patients actually write.
- You want patient records, intake forms, reminders and recalls in the same place as the bookings.
What each one shows as proof
Odonto shows three dentist testimonials on its homepage and says it cuts no-shows and last-minute cancellations to 0.1% and can save a clinic up to ₱10,000 a month. Those are Odonto's own figures; we have not audited them, and the page does not say how they were measured.
HeyDenta is younger and smaller, so instead of a customer count we show the product: the demo answers a real patient conversation in Taglish and books the slot on a live calendar. Bring your own clinic's hours and services and watch Aria handle them before you decide. Our comparison with hiring a front-desk receptionist covers the cost side.
Common questions
Does Odonto have an AI receptionist?
Not that Odonto states. Its site and app listing describe booking links, appointment approvals, SMS reminders, a calendar view and weekly analytics. Nothing mentions answering patient messages. HeyDenta's Aria answers Messenger, web chat and voice, then books the slot.
How much does Odonto cost?
Odonto's pricing section lists Solo at ₱399 a month for 1 to 2 dentists, Team at ₱1,299 for 3 to 6 and Enterprise at ₱1,799 for 7 or more, each with a 1-week free trial. The FAQ on the same page says ₱299 a month. HeyDenta starts at ₱750 a month, Solo is ₱1,990, and a year paid up front is two months free.
Does Odonto send SMS reminders?
Yes. Its Google Play listing describes automated SMS reminders to cut cancellations and no-shows. HeyDenta also sends SMS reminders, plus recalls for patients who are due back.
Can a clinic use Odonto and HeyDenta together?
Yes, though they overlap on booking and reminders. A clinic could keep Odonto's link for patients who already know what they want and add HeyDenta for the ones who message first. Most clinics will find one calendar simpler, and HeyDenta already includes a booking page and SMS reminders.
