HeyDenta vs Weave: which AI receptionist fits a Philippine dental clinic?

Weave is an established dental communications platform in the US, and its AI Receptionist answers calls, texts and web chats for practices in the US and Canada. HeyDenta is built for a clinic in Quezon City whose patients message on Facebook at 9 PM. Both are good tools. They are made for different clinics, and this page shows where each one fits.

Quick answer · 40 seconds

Weave fits a US or Canadian practice that already runs Dentrix, Eaglesoft or Open Dental and wants phones, texting and an AI answering layer from one vendor. HeyDenta fits a Philippine clinic whose patients message on Facebook, wants replies in Taglish, and needs the records and calendar included rather than bought separately.

  • Weave channels: phone, SMS, web chat. Messenger is not mentioned.
  • Weave languages: no list published; live language switching is listed as coming soon.
  • Weave price: plans from $199/month; the AI Receptionist itself is by quote.
  • Where Weave ships phones: the US and Canada only.

The short answer

Weave's AI Receptionist sits inside Weave's phone and messaging platform. It answers calls in a natural voice, replies to texts and website chats, and can book straight into a qualified dental practice management system. For a US clinic on Dentrix, it is a sensible choice.

A Philippine clinic runs into three walls. Weave does not ship phones outside the US and Canada and says it will not troubleshoot calls from elsewhere. Its site names no supported languages and lists real-time language switching as coming soon, so Tagalog is not something you can count on today. It also needs a US practice management system for automatic booking, and most Philippine clinics do not run one. HeyDenta starts from the other end: Messenger first, Taglish first, and the records and calendar are already inside.

The Weave column uses Weave's own words where it has them. Where a page did not state something, the cell says so rather than guessing. The HeyDenta column describes the product as it is today.

Where each one fits

Neither tool wins every clinic. The fit depends on where the clinic is, where its patients talk, and what system sits underneath.

Weave fits better when

  • Your clinic is in the US or Canada and already uses Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental or Curve.
  • You want desk phones, texting, reviews and the AI answering layer from one vendor on one bill.
  • You run several locations and want the enterprise tier Weave built for groups.
  • Your patients call rather than message, and English is the only language you need today.

HeyDenta fits better when

  • Your patients message your Facebook Page and your website, often after clinic hours.
  • You need replies in Tagalog or Taglish, the way patients actually write.
  • You do not run a US practice management system and do not want to buy one just to plug in an AI.
  • You want peso pricing, a 14-day trial with no card, and someone in the Philippines who answers when you ask for help.

What each one shows as proof

Weave says over 35,000 locations use its platform, and it bought TrueLark, the company behind its AI receptionist, in May 2025. Those are Weave's own figures and a public press release; we have not audited them.

HeyDenta is younger and smaller, so instead of a customer count we show the product: the demo answers a real patient conversation in Taglish and books the slot on a live calendar. Bring your own clinic's hours and services and watch Aria handle them before you decide. Our comparison with hiring a front-desk receptionist covers the cost side.

Common questions

Is Weave available in the Philippines?

Weave publishes no country list for its AI Receptionist. Its help centre says phones are not shipped outside the US and Canada, international use is limited to the app, and Weave will not troubleshoot call problems from outside those countries. We found no mention of the Philippines on any Weave page.

Does Weave's AI receptionist speak Tagalog?

Not that Weave states. No language list is published, and real-time language switching is listed as a coming-soon feature on the AI Receptionist page. HeyDenta's Aria answers in English, Tagalog and Taglish today.

How much does Weave cost?

Weave's pricing page says plans start from $199 per month, with the Pro, Elite and Ultimate tiers priced by quote. The AI Receptionist page shows no price, only a 25% off promo for the rest of 2026. HeyDenta starts at ₱4,990 a month, with a founding-clinic rate of ₱3,490 a month for life while spots last.

Can a Philippine clinic use Weave's AI and HeyDenta together?

In theory, but the two would need separate setups and cover many of the same tasks. Weave needs its own phone setup and a US practice management system underneath. HeyDenta already includes the records, calendar and reminders, and answers on the channels Philippine patients use. Pick the one built for where your clinic is.
